Newcastle-based writer Harry Bailey joined our team in May 2023 and has looked at the significant issues affecting the game at a local and national level. Harry has interviewed Football Australia Head of Women’s Football Sarah Walsh, profiled the Inter Lions’ dream 2023 Australia Cup run by interviewing Head Coach John Theodoropoulos, and took a closer look at amateur sports gambling and whether it is a concern for the NPLs in Australia. He has also produced some social media content for our platforms. Harry has completed a Bachelor of Communications at the University of Newcastle, majoring in Journalism and Public Relations, and is currently undertaking an internship with the ABC. His involvement in the game extends beyond media coverage. Harry also plays for Hamilton Azzurri in the Zone Premier League, the third tier of the Northern New South Wales Football pyramid.
