West Australian-based writer Matt Olsen joined our team in November 2021 and has provided excellent insight into the game's most significant narratives, particularly concerning the Socceroos, Matildas, and the football landscape in WA. Matt's work has also covered the major talking points surrounding Australian football fandom. He has brought focus to specific stories in the game, such as Ange Postecoglou's time at Celtic, whilst also giving an insight into the football landscape across the ditch in New Zealand. Matt has interviewed many prominent figures in the game, particularly nationally and in WA. These interviews included Olyroos manager Tony Vidmar, former Matildas coach Steve Darby, Perth Glory midfielder Mustafa Amini, and Football West CEO Jamie Harnwell. He is an A-Leagues and Football West accredited journalist. Matt is also the co-host of our A-League Women podcast, Front Page Dub, regularly appears on the Front Page Football Podcast, and was a co-host of FPF’s Women’s World Cup podcasts.
