South Australian-based writer David Grant focuses on localised history and is particularly interested in war and sport. David joined FPF in March 2024 and enjoys writing articles covering Australian football's history locally and nationally. He is a regular guest on community radio sports shows where his focus has been on football in the Adelaide Hills. As a junior, David played rugby union before switching codes to football in his late teens. After a 30-year playing career, he became an administrator and coach before moving into media, where he is currently a commentator for Football South Australia. David holds a Higher National Diploma in Consumer & Marketing Studies and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Studies from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland.
