West Wallsend has triumphed 5-1 in the latest Wallsend derby against the Wallsend Red Devils in the Northern League One in NSW.
West Wallsend had a score to settle in this one after losing the last derby, and they flew out of the blocks right from the off.
Josh Carroll found himself behind the defence and drove an excellent low shot into the far corner to give the Bluebells the lead.
Shortly afterwards, he received a clipped ball over the top and poked it home for 2-0.
When Tye Jones went racing through on goal and was fouled from behind, a penalty was awarded, and the home side was reduced to ten men.
Carroll stepped up and slotted home for a magnificent first-half hat-trick.
Some more inventive play from Jones saw him earn another penalty, but he would step up himself this time.
Unfortunately, though, the Red Devils' goalkeeper was up to the task.

The Devils sprang a fast break from the penalty miss, but the excellent Bailey Jensen diffused it immediately.
He then whipped a ball across to Jones, who atoned his earlier miss by tucking home a fourth.
Much of the second period was a little subdued despite an unbelievable first half.
Wallsend pulled a goal back from a quick throw-in, but the Bluebells quickly responded with a fifth as a wicked cross deflected in off an outstretched defender.
A rather crude challenge in the corner saw the hosts reduced to nine men, and tensions reached boiling point.
Thankfully the game was soon up, and West Wallsend left with a big three points in the hunt for finals football.
